Dr. Andreja Gomboc has published a paper in Science magazine
International team of astrophysicists, including Dr. Andreja Gomboc, has published a paper “GRB 130427A: A Nearby Ordinary Monster” in Science. In the paper they study an extraordinary bright and long gamma ray burst GRB 130427A. They show that the properties of massive stars, whose stellar deaths cause gamma ray bursts, do not change during the history of the universe as much as thought previously- gamma ray bursts in our cosmic neighbourhood, which occurred recently, can be similar to more distant bursts, happening in more distant past.
